Hunger is being used as war weapons... 590 thousand children can die by year's end

Use of hunger as weapons of war has become normal, according to Save the Children. Its analysis shows that more than half a million babies in conflict areas can die from malnutrition by the end of this year unless they receive proper treatment, which is the equivalent of one death per minute, reports The Guardian.

The charity has used UN data, and says 4.5 million children under-five were given treatment for the hunger threat of life this year in dangerous conflict areas a 20 per cent increase until 2016. According to current measurements, only one out of three children receives treatment, and 590 thousand can die as a result of that.
