This number of those arrested throughout Kosovo for the past five years totals up to 300 arrested, while the most affected countries in this phenomenon continue to remain big cities. In the Kosovo Police have told Gazeta Express that most of those arrested for this work are in Kosovo's citizenship, while some of them also come from Albania.

They were on their way to work as a massager, but shortly after they started working, their profession changed.

Employees at this center learned that it was not just massage but also practiced prostitution.

Many of them fell victim to prostitution and were arrested, while others continue to resell “their body only to make a living.

And despite numerous arrests for this work, prostitution is flourishing in Kosovo.

Only in the third week of September for prostitution have more than 50 people been arrested. While, since last year and for the first three months of this year, police statistics have arrested over 100 suspects.

In the police state that a large number of these people have been arrested through “massage sauce”. Until, they say that handling these cases is based on citizens' complaints.

Only in massage parlors claim that 28 people have been arrested in the past two years.

Kosovo's “Police are aware and have handled several cases that during the exercise of business such as massage parlors, other alleged activities, whether of prostitution, prostitution or even human trafficking, have been carried out.

The approach to the treatment of these cases is based on citizens' complaints, but also on information that has come from our field and our operational actions, where the most vulnerable countries are big cities”, police responses are said.

They claim that most of those arrested are of Kosovo citizenship, but say there are also Albania.

Police inform that 7 cases of 7 cases in 9 massage centres have been conducted from March to now, and have arrested 28 people suspected of criminal acts, such as trafficking in people, access to prostitution, offering I premises for prostitution, co-ordination, and prostitution.

And since in Kosovo, prostitution is considered an act of alienation and it is fined 100 to 900 euros, or even a prison sentence of up to 60 days, several other countries have tried to regulate it by law.

In such countries, sex workers are even offered health and social benefits.

Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria are just some of the countries where prostitution has been legalized. Other countries include New Zealand, Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Greece, and Indonesia.
