The chief of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, says this government coalition has seized Kosovo institutions by failing to allow the opposition word.
Hoti then added that the hearing called by the opposition should be held because it is a constitutional obligation.
“We are awaiting all opposition deputies more than 24 hours since we have asked that the extraordinary session be held is not anyone's discretion to postpone this session, it is constitutional and according to the Parliament's regulation to hold sessions at the time when it was required by at least 40 MPs. This form of how the Speaker of the Parliament is behaving and this ruling coalition is practically the grasp of Kosovo institutions -- virtually the capture of the Parliament, not allowing the opposition's word in the Kosovo Assembly. In particular today when we have seen public statements of the parliamentary group Initiative that will be part of the opposition's session to vote on a resolution that actually makes them white-page, Hoti said.
Otherwise, the session called by the prime minister, which is expected to begin at 2: 00 p.m., has not yet begun and the only point of the agenda is to review the Republic of Kosovo Government's proposal for the appointment of a negotiating team for normalisation of relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia.
