According to them, entry into the strike has occurred because the government when it has made a decision to raise salaries, in addition to political staff has raised salaries of some civil servants working in the prime minister's office.

<x0nderja and the involvement of part of the staff of the Prime Minister's Office in this decision have created in good the functioning of the Prime Minister's Office, making civil servants within offices that are part of the decision to have substantial differences in salaries by other officials, despite the fact that we current legislation should be treated equal to”, the Greek Council media report said.

According to the announcement of the civil service staff, which are not part of the decision on wages (Nr.04/20) of the 20,12.2017 date, from the entry into force of the decision until now, have consistently sought the legal right to opportunities, dignified and equal treatment, through official forms of communication, addressed to the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, representatives of the prime minister's cabinet and Secretary General at ZKM. Our legitimate request for equal treatment so far was not considered.

“considering that we have used all legal and democratic means available for internal institutional communication, unfortunately we have failed to have a solution on our request, so we have been forced to seek our legal right through the strike. From today we are officially on strike. The strike will continue until the implementation of our legitimate bid”, the announcement said.
