Last goodbye to former KLA fighter

Today in the cemetery of the Carradulous village of Malisveva, with high honours from the KSF, and under the presence of family members and thousands of fellow fighters, representatives of central and local institutions, and numerous citizens, veteran of the Kosovo Liberation Army war, war invalid and former teacher Skender Krasniqi, the Elder Commander, has been buried.

Presequently, at the House of Culture “Tahir Sinani” in Malisheva, at 1500 hours, there have been prayers for Skender Krasniqi, while from 1600, there has been a comet meeting, with deputies from the Kosovo Assembly, officials and representatives of institutions from the central and local level, representatives of KSF, Kosovo Police, political parties officials at the local level, and numerous citizens from all ethnic Albanians.

As the Malisheva municipality reports, at this comet session, life and activity of Skender Krasniqi, in the field of education, and in particular in the glorious war of the Kosovo Liberation Army, where baca Skender, was highly praised, was one of the founders of the first cells and units in the Malisheva municipality. Skender Krasniqi was also one of the responsibilities, during the KLA's transformation into the KPC, where he also played a significant role, until his retirement. His house, was one of the first KLA bases, while Skender Krasniqi, with his entire family, were involved in the KLA's liberation war.

Malisheva Mayor Ragip Begaj, speaking at this comatative meeting, said that “Skender Krasniqi, never stopped working for the country until the moment of his separation from life”. Afterwards, Mayor Begaj has also remembered his moments -- before, during and after the war -- with Skender Krasniqi, praising his commitment, serving his homeland and contributing to the liberation war.

Reminders from Skender Krasniqi's event have also revealed to General Enver Cikaqi, who spoke of the role that Sunday's baca played in the liberation war and the transformation of the KPC, where he left lasting traces.

Even fellow fighter Albanian Krasniqi has remembered moments from war when, according to her, even in the most difficult moments, Skender Krasniqi never gave up.

At this comatative meeting, on behalf of the KLA War Veterans Organisation, Hysni Gucati also spoke, while Skender Krasniqi praised him as a brave man who stood out for his long and post-war manhood.

On behalf of the family, those present have been thanked for the participation and honours made, his son, Arben Krasniqi.

Skender Krasniqi, is buried today at five o'clock in the village of Carradulka.
