According to the Xinhua news agency, as a result of heavy rainfall in the province of Guangdong, China, two people have lost their lives, while two others are considered extinct. Meanwhile, 127 thousand people affected by heavy rainfall have been evacuated to safe regions.
The rainfall is further said to have included 27 counties east of the province, while 43 houses have collapsed and 4,700 hectares of agricultural land have been damaged. The damage, it is emphasized, has a cost of more than $1 billion yen $1.7 million.
The local government has sent 1,800 tents and beds, blankets, water and food to disaster victims in the region.
