The fight against climate change will be a source of economic growth and wealth creation, a report by international experts published today, demanding, calculating potential profits, convincing states and enterprises to engage more.
“Transforming our economic model towards an economy that produces less CO2 contains multiple possibilities”, says this report by the World Commission for Economy and Climate, established in 2013 and supported by former political leaders, enterprises or even economists.
Thanks to the appearance of less polluted cities, the development of a clean energy, infrastructure, and a more compatible agriculture with the environment, we will get a higher product, economic benefits and a higher social inclusion”, experts say in this report.
According to them, the benefits of changing this economic model could represent $26,000 billion in additional economic benefits by 2030, as well as generate 65 million more jobs in proportion to the current trend.
