Fighting Corruption in Kosovo Supports Austria

Austria's Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Caroline Edtstadler, has confirmed her state's support for Kosovo in fighting corruption, whose results will have a positive effect on visa liberalisation and Kosovo's approach to the EU.
She made these comments today during a meeting with Anti-Corruption Agency Director Shaip Havolli, attended by Austria's ambassador to Pristina, Gernot Pfandler and an Austrian delegation.
Edtstadler, together with Ambassador Pfandler, has guaranteed Havollin for supporting the Agency in fighting corruption and has expressed readiness to deepen co-operation for activities aimed at efficient implementation of anti-corruption policies.
While Havolly announced Edtstadler's mandate and competencies of the Anti-Corruption Agency, the current work of this institution, of legislative changes that are being made, as well as of the work this institution did in preventing and fighting corruption in Kosovo.
The meeting also discussed the challenges and integration processes Kosovo is going through, strengthening further the role of the Anti-Corruption Agency in fighting corruption and ways of finding joint activities and projects in awareness of the consequences of corruption.
