The initiative launched by Lette Do Kosova and supported by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo began at 09 o'clock in Prizren and Junik, while in other municipalities it started at 10:00, as is previously. The action launched today will continue tomorrow in the municipality of Mitrovica.
From the results of all municipalities where the action is organised, the number of volunteers has reached the thousands. Modern mobilization has enabled thousands of tons of waste to be removed, and so have our expectations. Let's Do Kosova reports that data collected in all Kosovo municipalities from the call centre is being processed and released at a media conference.
The official opening of major cleaning action today has been done in the capital's Kalabria district, where a large illegal waste depot from the company “Kawa Group” has been evacuated. There's 104 trucks of debris leaving. Afterwards, volunteers have continued at “Industrial Zone” in Fushe Kosovo, where six trucks with remains have been evacuated from KSF teams. In addition to this depot, volunteers in Pristina have cleared at 15 more points.
In the opening of the action organised by Lettés Do It Kosova have attended Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj along with some of his government ministers, Norway's ambassador to Kosovo, Per Strand Sjaadstad, representatives of KFOR, KSF, Kosovo Police, Nongovernmental Organisations, Civil Society, private companies and elementary school students, high school and students. The event has also been joined by Albanian Environment Minister Blendi Klosi with a group of volunteers.
From there strong support was given to the three-month campaign for the cleansing of Kosovo and was called for mobilization like this one to continue throughout this period of time in all Kosovo municipalities.
Let's Do It Kosova was reported that the action launched today will continue for three months and will last until the elimination of all illegal waste deposits, with which Task Force has been created by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo with other relevant acts.
As the campaign continues, Let's Do Kosova again calls on all citizens to become part of the Kosovo cleanup share. We also let you know that all who want to become part of the act as volunteers can do so by recording on the page www.tapastromekomkosven.org
“event Clearing Kosovo” is being realised under the “World Cleaning Day” that is organised by the Global Movement “Lett) Do It” in about 200 countries of the world, where about 5 percent of the world's population are mobilised.
