The execution of border movement is also scaring investors

In a proposal for Online Economy, Zeka claims that the spread of this discourse will leave the impression to investors that the Kosovo status issue is still unresolved.
“Political stability is the important factor in doing business, and especially in terms of attracting foreign investment. We have suggested that such discussions, the spread of such discourses, will naturally affect investors, because it gives the impression that the Kosovo status issue is again open and of course investors -- whatever it is -- during their environmental analysis to do business will take into account this fact. I will wait until the conclusion of any final status decision they will consider to be already an open issue”, Zeka points out.
He stresses that the consequences of this political instability will later be observed in the country's economy.
What we expect from now on, of course, can make such an assessment of how much real impact has had on potential investors. But something is breaking up that has started, something good. We have been without spread, the arrival of international orderes to Kosovo even during the past year, and during the beginning of this year, and this is a very important signal that the country has been quite stable in political terms, and any change in this respect can have consequences”, he said.
He has voiced concern that such political statements would conspicuously lower the export, which, according to Zeka, is also in problematic condition.
“If there are any buyers abroad, so if we take as an example the member states of the European Union and if one of them perceives that there may be any political risks associated with that transaction or trade that you want to develop with the local Kosovo business, then, of course, that will affect exports, which are also small and from year to year reported as quite problematic, and if we have in mind the trade deficit data presented by the country's” institutions, he says.
