Donjata Pajazit's mother demands justice for the murdered girl (Video)

Like each other on November 9, 2015, Donjeta Pajasitaj was about to leave for work.

Donita's mother, Lumnia, says she's been through the worst phase of her life.

A few days after Donita's body was discovered, at the end of 2015, as the chief suspect in the murder had been arrested N. P, cousin of the Pajasite family.

For Donita's mother, Lumnon was very difficult to stay in the same courtroom as the suspect in her daughter's murder.

After more than two years, accused N. He was released in a lack of evidence from the Constitutional Court in Pec. Lumnia disagrees with the judicial process and remains in hope that justice will be imposed one day.

That trial was a disaster. All the facts, especially for that, have been and declared innocent. In March of this year, the Constitutional Court in Pec acquitted the chief defendant of the Donjata murder, while the case was sent to the Court of Appeals in Pristina.

Days ago, the Kosovo Women's Network organised protest action before the Court of Appeals in this case, demanding justice for the Donita case.

Adelina Berisha from the Kosovo Women's Network is critical of the justice system. She says that the investigation should be continued until Donjeta's assassin Pajasitaj receives merit sentences.

We have a failure to investigate in this case, the Prosecutor, to first find her killer, since this key suspect has been declared innocent. And we, this year we have asked the prosecution to continue with investigations, to find the killer, or if this is the prime suspect, then to get the sentence deserved”, Berisha said.

Donjet Pajasitaj was found dead in the Strellz Mountains in the Decani municipality in December 2015.

In the indictment, the prosecution claimed that the defendant, the N.P., had stopped the car and taken Doniata with him at the time she was going to work.

Further, according to the indictment, the accused had sent Doniata to the mountains, where he had shot the victim with two bullets in his head.

This case is now at the Court of Appeals in Pristina, where it is expected to prove the first degree verdict, or return to the retrial.
