Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said today that Serbia did not intervene in the coming of Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli to Banja Luka, while according to Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, his arrival was unacceptable, as Pacolli is the “armic of the Serbian people”.
Dacic added that nobody asked Serbia for Pacolli's invitation for a meeting of the heads of diplomats of the member states of the Southeast European Co-operation Process.
“constantly complains that Bosnia does not give up. It should be clear that Bosnia will not recognise Kosovo, as Serbia does not recognise”, he said.
While Dodik said Pacolli is an enemy of the Serbian people, he is pleased that he did not come.
“E knew that they could touch unpleasant things. He cannot come here to provoke us”, he said.
Kosovo Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli cancelled attending a summit in Banja Luka, Bosnia, following warnings from Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, that he is not welcome in this town. In a statement issued Monday evening, Pacolli called Dodik's statements “threats”.
“With politicians like Dodik the region cannot move forward. Dodik's threatening language reminds us of a recent past of radical politicians, such as this one and the consequences of these threats. The Republic of Kosovo remains committed to regional co-operation, while inviting EU officials, especially those in the European Commission not to keep silent about these” phenomena, he said.
