FSBK's chairman, Tahir Tahiri, said that with these people at the helm of the Government of Kosovo, there is no perspective for the sector and agriculture, and that is why they want to leave this government.
There's no other way, there's no change after the war, any coming Government, there's a bastion of people who are only dealing with corruption, of people who are thinking only about their pockets. With these people there is no perspective, Kosovo's agriculture and for the first time I'm saying so, we as farmers demand that these people go forever, because we no longer have expectations”, he said.
He has accused the Ministry of Agriculture of abuses that are influencing the agriculture sector to be in very serious condition, meanwhile, this ministry is blackmailing farmers not to appear in protests.
The bad things that corruption, misuse, mismanagement of projects and various development plans are not advancing, are not adequate, and agriculture is looking at the mirror of agriculture, and we have an extremely difficult situation. So far farmers have been reluctant to go out in protests because they were blackmailed by the Ministry of Agriculture, the one who appeared in front of the media, or even went out in protests, there were farmers who could never receive subsidies, nor grants“, Tahiri said.
Frustrated with the work of the agriculture sector, farmer Nedmi Hyseni said that inadequate policies influence land to remain barren.
“A is emptying Kosovo with these policies with this regime that you are leading, how many people have left Kosovo in just three months or is the ground lying from policies that you are developing, or working less than in Milosevic's time. The existence of day-to-day farmers is being overcome by the criteria the Ministry of Agriculture is implementing. The agriculture ministry criteria are the same, failures are ongoing, criteria are only to be developed on paper. There are no farmers in Kosovo who can achieve a project based on the demands of the ministry”, he said.
