Serbia's Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic says a solution to the Kosovo issue has been sought and that correction of borders is just an idea, but there are no other ideas.

He added that everyone is now opening the door to dialogue, but there will be no discussions on two things that Kosovo will be autonomous within Serbia and that Serbia recognises Kosovo as an independent state.

“We are in compromise now, but we are in that phase, but the question is what is a compromise, a demitation is one of the ideas, but there are no other ideas. That is why the avalanche is in Pristina and Belgrade “, Dacic told Pink TV.

According to him, looked to the political analysts' perspective, if dialogue does not go in that direction, it can be expected that the pressure will continue on Serbia to recognise Kosovo.

“This pressure will appear slowing down towards the EU”, Dacic has said, adding that this could also lead to the possibility that someone in Kosovo will make plans for “Kosovo's” storm, which Serbia may have to react to and go into conflict with KFOR and that Serbia will seek Russia's help.

According to him, the US is now using the new “winds, opening the possibility for Serbs and Albanians to find a compromise solution.

He said that those who oppose border correction should know that a comprehensive Kosovo is possible only as an independent state.

We will never give up north, there is no dilemma. What else can we do? We do not have territorial ties that all areas with the Serb population remain in Serbia,” said Dacic.
