The “Child Protection and the inclusion of disabled persons in Albania has improved, but authorities must still address existing shortcomings” has said Commissioner for Human Rights at the Council of Europe, Dunja Mijatovic.
According to her, one problem that should concern the Albanian government is that 700 children live in care institutions, sometimes for a long time, without any hope of leaving before becoming teenagers.
