Conflict deepened, Israel warns of collapse of Palestinian homes

Israel has announced residents of a village in the West Coast that they have until October 1st to destroy their homes. A statement by the Israeli Defence Ministry says “residents of Khan al-Ahmar were notified at the request to break up all structures in that area by October 1st [...]
Despite reports of ruining buildings, it is still not clear what can happen if Palestinians do not destroy their homes. Ahmad Hassan is a resident of Khan Al-Ahmar village.
We're not leaving this place unless we're forced out. Even if our homes are destroyed, we will rebuild them whenever they destroy us. ”
Israel says the village was built without permission, but it is almost impossible for Palestinians to obtain proper construction permits. The Palestinian village is located near an Israelite settlement east of Jerusalem. Critics say plans to tear down houses are likely to favour the expansion of the Hebrew settlement.
Early in the month, Israel's Supreme Court rejected the requirements for banning house decay. Some European countries have called on Israel to stop plans to destroy homes.
