Through a media report, the Council reports that concern has increased at a time when the Law for Civil Service Salaries' Salaries is approved.

This government decision to raise salaries by No. 04/20 days; 20.12.2017, has caused amul, discrimination and great dissatisfaction with public servants, and in particular to Kosovo civil servants after having made a huge division among public servants by taking them under their armpits through the raising of pay-doubled salaries, the depositors who would have to control the work of government”, the Council announced.

The General Council warns that the Government will face strikes and protests by civil servants if our human and legal demands are not met.

Among the criteria are: To level the salaries of civil servants with other sectors with the Kosovo Public Sector Bill on Salaries and recognize the work experience for state administration workers who have been working on the Laws of the Republic of Kosovo and who have left their jobs in Serbian occupation, as this experience has been known to teachers.

The SSHCK General Council has also called on the Republic's Parliament not to allow through the adoption of this bill to deepen divisions among different sectors in Kosovo's public service.
