A group of about 80 people took to the streets last night in Catalonia to remove yellow tape and other symbols that reaffirmed support for separatist politicians who wanted to independent Catalonia from Spain and who were put in prison, writes El País, traces Periscope.
They were wearing white clothes, glasses and masks. They call themselves “Briggs for cleaning yellow tape that will free Catalonia from pro-independence movements”.
Using long steps, they removed all pro-independence symbols from the streets, throwing them into industrial waste containers.
The Catalan society continues to be very divided over the independence of this province from Spain with more than half not supporting such a movement. /Periscopi
