Three people dressed as folk musicians “marici” have opened fire executing three people.
After years of immunity from the violence of criminality that has plagued Mexico, its capital has had an intensification of homicides, whose curbing will be one of the main problems facing future local power. Police authorities have confirmed that the event took place at Garilbalt Square, a popular tourist destination filled with bars and cafes singing traditional musicians.
At the moment of the attack, the victims were in a restaurant, and agents have found alongside them over 60 bullet shells.
Although the authors have not yet been identified, police blame the rising crime groups seeking to control the sale of drugs and fines.
And in fact, Garibaldi Square is at the border with one of the most violent neighborhoods of the Mexican capital, Tepito, the bastion of the La Union gang, which is seeking to be imposed by violence.
