President Donald Trump has charged Pakistan with failure as he has received millions of dollars.
Pentagon spokesman Lt Col Cone Faulkner said the US Army plans to spend this money on more urgent priorities.
The US State Department has criticised Pakistan, a key ally, for failing to control terrorist networks, including the Haqaqani network and the Taliban.
“We are continuing to push Pakistan to have terrorist groups”, Fulkner said, adding that this money will be used elsewhere because Pakistan has not taken the necessary steps regarding the question.
This announcement comes days before US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's visit to Pakistan to meet with the country's new prime minister, Imran Khan.
