American Ambassador: Kosovo can go to elections soon

It would not be a deliberate job to define negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina, at least until we have something tangible with which this work could be completed.

In an interview for the Serbian news agency FoNet, said US Ambassador to Belgrade Kyle Scott, who considers that, given next year's global dynamic, “ky is a wonderful opportunity to achieve progress and that should be issued”.

The situation in this region is always complicated”, assessing Scott as progressing the fact that the “dialog between Belgrade and Pristina from the technical preliminary phase has gone to a new, highly complex phase, in which it speaks of a broader comprehensive agreement.

From here on, he added, it cannot be agreed with estimates that negotiations have stalled.

Scott says the US is not directly involved in the negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia with the European Union's mediation, but “of importance is to focus on the comprehensive agreement and solutions”.

There are ideas, some are successful, some not, and in our opinion, it is important to give opportunities and space to the leaders of Serbia and Kosovo to talk, to be flexible and creative, and to reach the lasting solution, which can be implemented and will be acceptable to the citizens of both countries”, US Ambassador to Belgrade Kyle Scott said.
