In a media communiqué, AAK deputies have expressed disappointment with the logic of the deputies' arrest, saying that demaliyaj and Zeka have said nothing described as being incriminating.

According to them, arresting two MPs may be calculated for political motives and blocking the work of the Parliament.

Below the AAK reaction:

The Parliamentary Group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo is indignant at the arrest of two MPs in the Kosovo Republic of Kosovo. As an MP, we cannot agree with the logic of arresting MPs because of their speech even when it is more harsh and emotional than it should.

We consider that the arrested deputies have made no concrete action that could be described as tinging or risking anything and keeping them in custody when they pose no threat to anyone, is a serious violation of the MP's dignity and integrity. We fear the arrest of deputies Demalij and Zeka may be calculated for political motives and for the purpose of blocking the work of the Kosovo Assembly.

The images of MPs' grip on their word can only be seen in totalitarian systems. Therefore, we demand that MPs under arrest be released immediately and that the court follow the regular procedure in relation to them.
