These are the results of a study conducted earlier this year and made public today by Sweden's ambassador to Albania, Johann Edsi.
Within the framework of the “100 villages”, Sweden's ambassador was today in Nivica, where he claimed, “has a growing number of Swedish tourists coming to discover Albania from the top of Valbona to the beaches of Saranda”.
During three years here in Albania, I have had the pleasure of discovering the beauty of your country and many areas that I did not expect to find. Nivica for me is a satisfactory” discovery, said Edsi.
The kinds of tourism in Albania are different, the Ambassador Edisi said, adding that the joint <x0nds of tourists, both of those coming for mountain tourism and those coming for maritime tourism, is the interest in the fantastic culture you have”.
I also speak from my own experience, when I say that Swedish tourists come not only for the beautiful place and the sun, but also for the hospitality of Albanians”, he stressed.
The “100 villages” programme praised the Swedish ambassador, “is a very big potential and opportunity and an important way to prepare many different areas of Albania to complete this potential”.
I as a Swedish ambassador work on intergovernmental relations more, but what we witness here today is a little different, and let me say it's more important. My government could have a tourism promotion policy in Albania, but for a Swedish citizen, the most important is the word of people and the fantastic news they hear about the country's Albanian hospitality, culture and wonderful images”, said Edsi.
