200 killed in Afghanistan

Amruddin Danisho, a member of the Jawzyan provincial council, told the Anadolu Agency that the Taliban passed a number of security checkpoints in the Khamab province's district, killing 10 security people.
The Taliban have also surrounded 50 security people in the district centre, cutting off their supply lines.
According to Tolo Nea, the Taliban have created checkpoints on the main highway linking Jawzyan to the neighbouring province of Sar-e-Pul, posing a threat to the province's centre, the Kosovo Clan broadcasts.
Meanwhile, officials in the Madian Wardak province confirmed on Monday that several security people were killed in numerous raids that took place at checkpoints by Taliban in the Daimurad district.
Abdul Waheed, secretary of the provincial council, suggested that security forces surrounded the Taliban from the district centre following deadly clashes resulting in the killing of more than 40 security members.
Deadly clashes have also been reported in the province of Kunduz on the border with Tajikistan.
The Defence Ministry in an official statement said 52 Taliban were killed in Maidan Wardak and at least 100 or more in the Pact, Baghdad, Uruzgan, Ghazni, Helmand, Farah and Nangarhar after air and ground operations.
