Over 5% of global annual deaths are related to excessive alcohol consumption. These are the World Health Organization report, which reports every four years on the impact of this substance on public health. Alcohol abuse and its effects are responsible for 3 million deaths each year, of which 2.3 million are men, and about 29% of deaths are related to traumatic events, such as accidents or suicide.

It's young people who pay the highest price. If 7.2% of early deaths are from alcohol, 13.5% of deaths among 20-year-olds depend on alcohol consumption, writes “abnews”.
More than a quarter (27%) of teenagers between the ages of 15 and 19 consume regularly, but the impact on the mortality aspect of this generation of population is not taken into account in the study. Smoking and alcohol have recently proved to be damaging to teen arteries, but at this stage the damage is still irreversible.
More drinks. 237 million men and 46 million women worldwide suffer from alcohol - related diseases. Most of them are in Europe and America. Although the death rate has been reduced, from 5.9% in 2012 to 5.3% in 2016, this is unacceptable, indicating measures implemented today to combat abuse are insufficient.
Among the few positive signs is the fact that the drinking rate is declining in many areas. In the Old Continent, which has the highest consumption per resident, the amount of alcohol it has received has decreased to 10% since 2010. A rise in consumption over the next 10 years is expected, especially in Southeast Asia, Western Pacific, and some parts of America.
That's what you drink. On average, about three ounces [33 g] of pure alcohol is consumed per day. 45% of consumed alcohol is made up of superalcooles, surprisingly, beer and wine constitute slightly more than 34% and slightly less than 12%. Over a quarter of alcohol consumption is thought to fall outside these statistics.
As can be seen from the opposite results of studies on alcohol consumption, the relationship between alcohol and health is complex and still not quite clear. If for the prevention of certain diseases, such as tumors, it would be better not to wear out, conditions related to cardiovascular health are required in moderate amounts (less than a glass a day) that cause less damage than total shortages. But even at this point there is no consensus uniformity.
