VV action ended with the arrest of an MP, 7 activists

Hailing “Boll ma!”, “Marre!”, activists other than the drop of color asked police officials to react in time when reports of violence against women are reported.

Where are the cops, where are the special units when women are reporting the violence and anyone is taking no responsibility and not with the women there for protection against the perpetrators. There are young people arrested for protesting and freezing a case that is very important that affects our society and where every day we have cases where women are being killed, even if the police don't take any responsibility, our institutions don't take any responsibility... where the police should be there to protect women when they report the violence, they always reason that they haven't asked for a defence”, she said.

Vetevendosje Movement activist Aulona Bytyqi said no one has claimed responsibility for the case of Valbona Mark and her daughter, who were killed last week.

According to her, women in Kosovo are abandoned because the state has given up on protecting them from violence, viewing the issue as personal.
