Verification, according to law system connoisseurs, is seen as necessary especially to judiciary, prosecutors and prosecution bodies in general.

This vetting process is aimed at bringing corrupt persons out of the justice system. Former head of the Constitutional Court in Pristina, Judge Hamdi Ibrahimi told Radio Free Europe that any process involving verification, which could help improve the justice system, must be supported.

This process should be continuous and should be done in the best way possible, in the sense of not being done for group, party or party interestsSpecific interests. I think they should get involved in the vetting process (vedding) not only judges and prosecutors, but other persons who are involved in the justice system. There will be no actual process of verification, unless all persons in any form are related to the justice system” are involved, Ibrahim said.

Ibrahim emphasises that the situation in the justice system is not so alarming that an emergency request be made to a cleanup or verification, but according to him, no judge or prosecutor should escape.

We as judge should bear in mind that we submit to the control of society, opinion, media, civil society, and it is a process that I think will positively influence the authority of justice, the authority of the country and I don't want to believe that any judge, prosecutor or any person from the justice system, who does not support this process”, Ibrahim said.

Judge Abraham says that such a process would succeed if it was done by creditors, people with Pure handsBy men of profession, and by those who are not affected by any interest today or tomorrow. After all, Ibrahimi claimed, <x0vettingu” should be done in the interest of the country.

Kosovo has framework for a “netting” literal. There are men of science and knowledge. There are people who have reflected in a purity and high professional knowledge by their work, but in our collective destiny these people rarely come to terms”, Ibrahim said.

On the other hand, Betim Musliu, director of the Kosovo Institute for Justice, tells Radio Free Europe that from the monitors made, there is a lack of integrity to the carriers of institutions in the justice system.

The low belief in the justice system, in this case of prosecutors and judges, needs to have a “veting” to have clean images that pursue and judge in the justice system. This is a necessity and a process which must start as soon as possible with the preparation of the legal framework, in order to verify wires for all prosecutors and judges”, Musliu said.

Time and again, there have been claims by institutions and political parties that in Kosovo, there must be a verification, but Ibrahim says not everyone wants it. a justice literally in place.

Every time we talk about this process [version], we need to remember that this process carries the risk of someone using it as a process and, as the people say, wash resources with those inside and are unwanted and bring their own people. [In such a case], it had been a very degrading process for the country”, Ibrahim said.

Musliu on the other hand, says this process should be done with the help of the international factor and not only in the justice system, but also in the Kosovo Police.

“Versusification must be kept with the help of the international factor because our policy in the Kosovo Assembly, any changes it can make, and any process of “veting” that can change, cannot have complete integrity, to make the selection of the adecent persons, because so far they are of the same persons who have proven to have exercised continued influence in the justice system “, Musliu said.

Despite some initiatives and statements by some political representatives, nothing concrete has yet been done even with regard to the Law for lustration.

Kosovo justice system recognisers consider there is not one yet favourable climate political in Kosovo for the prosecution and adoption of this law.

The Council of Europe has long approved two resolutions through which it requires that the principles of a legal state, implementation of lustration laws, or relevant administrative measures be respected during drafting the lustration Law. /rel/
