Nine in critical condition after Britain's fatal train accident

Nine people remain in critical condition after a train crash Friday near Bedford, about 60 miles [100 km] north of London, in which one of the trains was killed.
Two passenger trains with London's destination crashed around 5:15 p.m. on Friday. One of the trains driver died on the scene.
Giving an update on the injured in the accident Saturday, British Transport Police Chief Lucy D'Orsi said more than 80 people had received hospital treatment Friday evening, Reuters reports, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
“by morning, 28 people remain in hospital and nine are in critical condition”, she said.
Investigators are working to determine what caused the accident, D'Orsi added.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer described it as a devastating “incident” in an X post.
King Charles' Palace also issued a statement saying: His “Majesty is very sad by the railway accident in Bedford last night and is being regularly informed of developments.
