Kosovo police have arrested two people suspected of involvement in narcotics trafficking, while confiscated nearly 18kg of suspected marijuana substance in the Kacanik region.
According to the police report, the case occurred on June 19, 2026, around 17:30, when investigators at the Kacanic Police Station tried to stop a car for control. The driver of the vehicle disobeyed the police order and managed to avoid the ban temporarily.
After the involvement of various police units, the car was located and stopped. Meanwhile, investigators from the Directorate for Narcotics Trafficking Investigation (DHTN) in Ferizaj, during the search of the terrain on the street where the vehicle was suspected to have passed, found three bags thrown into a garbage dump.
The initial verification allegedly contained a narcotic substance of marijuana that was allegedly dumped by people in the car to avoid police detection.
Police have announced that the total weight of the seized substance is 17 kilos of 834.6 grams. Besides narcotics, other related evidence has been seized.
Two suspects have been arrested under investigation: F.K. (born in 1961), citizens of the Republic of Albania, and A.C. (born in 2001), citizens of northern Macedonia.
The case is being investigated as a criminal offence “Blerja, ownership, distribution and unauthorized selling of narcotics, psychotrope and analogue”. Under the decision of the Basic Prosecution Prosecutor in Ferizaj, suspects have been sent to the hold for 48 hours.
