A serious economic crisis hit Venezuela in 2014 and has deteriorated this year. Facing hyperinflation and cuts in food and medical products, many Venezuelans have decided to leave their homes with planes, boats or even on foot, writes Periscope.
The authorities have so far fled 2.3 million people from the country, with over 1.5 million settled in other neighboring countries of South America.
Yet, it will not all end here. Numbers are expected to grow steadily until it continues to deepen.
As far as the escape rate is concerned, a professor named Luisa Feline Freier says that this ecstasy can be compared to Syria. /Periscopi
