Bratislav Zivkovic, known as the commander of the Democratic Movement in Serbia, has been arrested under suspicion of participating in war abroad, has confirmed to Radio Free Europe, Service for the Balkans, Serbia's Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In response to Radio Free Europe, Serbia's Ministry of Internal Affairs suggests that, at the order of the High Public Prosecutor in Krushevc, Zivkovovic has been arrested due to suspicion that he committed the criminal work of participating in war or armed conflict in a foreign country.
The suspect has been detained 48 hours and will then be sent to the competent prosecution, the minister suggests.
According to Ukraine's General Prosecutor, Zivkovqi allegedly participated along with six other Serbian citizens in the conflicts east of Ukraine on the pro-Russian side.
