Trump sends letter to Putin

Russian news agencies have quoted Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, as confirming that the letter “was accepted through diplomatic channels”.
“We expect the presidential administration to accept it (the letter) soon”, Peskov said.
The White House has not immediately commented on this letter.
Senator Paul has been in Russia for a few days. His trip there comes at a very sensitive time of US-Russia relations.
President Trump has repeatedly indicated he wants good relations with Russia, especially with Putin.
During his visit to Russia, Senator Paul had declared that he has invited Russian lawmakers to meet with their American counterparts in Washington.
