Thaci appoints new court judges

President Hashim Thaci has named judges to the Constitutional Court of Kosovo. The ceremony of the new judges' oath before President Thaci has been held today, where the Constitutional Court head Arta Rama has also been present.
The judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, Bajram Ljatifi, Safet Hoxha, Remzije Istrefiić Pecci, Radomir Leban and Nexmi Rexhepi, who have been sworn in before President Thaci, had previously passed all procedures in accordance with the legislation in force and their names were reviewed by the Special Commission for the selection of candidates for Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo judges, following the development of secret voting procedures held at the Parliamentary hearings.
During the secret vote process, Remzije Istrefi-Peci had received a total of 83 votes, Radomir Leban had received 71 votes, Nedimi Rexhepi had received 66 votes, Safet Hoxha had received 62 votes, and Bajatifi had received a total of 58 votes.
The composition of the Constitutional Court, for the first time in its history, is now only with local judges.
