The discussion, used in recent days about the correction of borders between Kosovo and Serbia, has divided Kosovo politics into two taxis. However, connoisseurs and political circumstances in the country estimate that the debate still remains unclear.
Analyst Ramush Tahiri has said that more is under way from the current discussion, on emotional grounds than those of rationality.
This divide is looking like a déja vu, because such a division, but on the other hand, has also been with the case of setting the border between Kosovo and Montenegro”, Tahiri stressed.
According to him, I think the debate should be analysed and not just reacted. I have not seen concrete arguments from either side, and which border is changing that it is favourable or unfavourable for Kosovo”, he added.
Furthermore, Tahiri has said that all analyses say borders are not allowed to be broken, adding that no one says they should not join Presevo. The entire discussions are in the air, we don't have a project to see what's changing, is losing or winning Kosovo to be seen specifically”, Tahiri has stressed, the Telegrafi conveys.
According to him, where there is reconciliation is that with talks it is being resolved with Serbia and that the agreement will not be imposed.
The president has the constitutional and legal mandate to discuss these topics. The president has appointed those competencies, he bears his responsibility and could sign the agreements, but the Kosovo Assembly ratifys the agreements with most votes”.
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci is pushing ahead of the idea that in the agreement between Pristina and Belgrade there may be correction of the borders between the two countries, which would enable recognition of the state of Kosovo on the part of Serbia.
He has said Kosovo could join Presevo Valley.
But, on the other hand, opposition parties, but also Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's party have said changing the borders could open Pandora's Box in the Balkans.
