Political and economic affairs acquaintance James Robertson, in his last text, entitled “From Enver Hoxha to Bill Clinton: A brief KLA story” has tried to penetrate the roots of the development of that political-military formation that attempted to free Kosovo from the Milosevic regime, writes Periscopi.
Among other things, Robertson points out that the KLA's roots, which lie at the LPK and previous Marxist-Leninist organisations, had in fact been against American imperialism, which they saw connected with Serbian colonialism.
“Being overly critical of the Socialist Yugoslavia's friendship during the Cold War with the West, Kosovo Marxist-Leninists had seen Enver Hoxha's regime in Albania as the possibility of liberation” he writes.
