Chief Prosecutor Lumezi has initially notified EU chief Apostolova of the functioning and efficiency of the State Prosecutor, stressing that state prosecutors are determined and willing to contribute to strengthening the rule of the Law, as well as to meet the challenges the institution has.
During this meeting, Chief Prosecutor Lumezi and EU chief Natally Apostolova have also discussed cases that are targeted by the Prosecutor for visa liberalisation, as well as the increasing number of prosecutors at the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo.
Chief Prosecutor Lumezi has stressed that he is committed to creating a safe environment for all state prosecutors to function efficiently, professionally and undicted by anyone. Also, Lumez has suggested that the State Prosecutor's Institute is taking all necessary actions to quickly conclude the veterans' case, and send respective acts to the competent court, as the Law defines.
Also, Chief Prosecutor Lumezi has indicated that I will not allow anyone to intervene and influence illegally the professional work of the State Attorney, in the pursuit and investigation of individual cases. EU chief Natalia Apostolova has promised that the EU through various projects will continue to support the State Prosecutor's institution, in terms of strengthening the rule of Law in Kosovo.
