Protests against Serb pilgrims in Gjakova begin

Protests have started in Gjakova against the warned arrival of Serb pilgrims in this city.

This protest was called by the citizens of Gjakova “to reject the arrival of Serbs”.

Citizens are protesting “slogans There is silence without justice” and “The blood of Albanian children killed by Serbia is not pardoned”.

Even the “Association of Mothers” in Gjakova has come against the arrival of Serb pilgrims in the town of Gjakova, which, through an open letter sent to President Thaci, asked him to stop this visit.

A day earlier, the founder of the Fund for Humanitarian Law, Natasa Ka persecuted, has invited Kosovo President Hashim Thaci to enable the Gjakova Serbs this year to visit the church.

In this case, I beg you personally to engage so that Serbs from Gjakova on August 28, 2018 can visit their church and homes and not be subject to humiliation as in the past year”, the prosecution said in the letter published yesterday.

And the country's president said that “sot is unimaginable and it is unacceptable for someone to violate rights or not allow the visit of Serbian citizens to religious objects, whether in Gjakova or elsewhere throughout Kosovo”.
