This is the former prosecutor: Blakaj was better prepared, that's who was threatened by.

For years he exercised the office of special prosecutor in Kosovo. Ali Rex retired just three months ago. But if he was on duty, he says he'd be happy to take the veterans' course left in half by his former colleague, Elez Blakaj.

But despite that, former Special Prosecutor Ali Rexha considers Elez Blakay as the most professionally prepared prosecutor. He admits that in Kosovo to exercise the prosecutor's office is a challenge.

Rexha for Gazeta Express has talked about the work of Blakaj, who had committed him as a prosecutor in Kosovo, so listed as one of the first prosecutors in the country who has publicly defended him.

I appreciate it as a prosecutor. I honestly say he's the most professionally prepared prosecutor in Special Prosecutor”, Rexha said, who retired months ago from the prosecutor's position.

Prosecutor Rexha says his colleague has been needed to conduct investigations into the huge veterans' lists. He also showed that Blakaj had a lot of pressure, so he had a hard time doing his job in his class.

“Procured is not easy to do his job. He was the most prepared, most complete of all. I know Blakaj has been having a hard time working with such pressure from veterans”, the prosecutor said.

He adds, however, that Blakaj has not deserved such attacks as they are being made.

I'd take that class if I were in charge. The subject is now ready to be sent to court, or eventually the court has issued an ordinance with the bloc not to make it through the trial. There's a shitload of work there, because it hasn't been verified all of this”, Rexha said.

And, the retired prosecutor, who is now acting as a lawyer, expects prosecutor Haki Gecaj will continue the work of Elez Blakaj, who resigned after leaving the indictment filed for fraud on veterans' lists.

I believe Hakki Gecaj will take that class, because no one can push that stuff except Hakki. Nobody's there that's worth taking this”, Rex said.

A few days ago, former prosecutor to Special Prosecutor Elez Blakaj resigned and accused Chief State Prosecutor Alexander Lumezi of interfering in the case of veterans of the former Kosovo Liberation Army. He had also stated that he was subjected to pressures and threats that had forced him to resign.
