The final decision by the EU countries' interior ministers is expected to be made at the last meeting for this year, held on December 6th and 7th. While Kosovo citizens are expected to move visa-free to the Schengen area in the first part of next year, “Zer” writes today.
The Committee for Civil Freedoms, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) of the European Parliament (PE) with 30 votes for, 2 abstentions and 10 against the vote for visa liberalisation for Kosovo, mandated by the European Parliament and the Council to open trilateral negotiations on the Parliament Commission for the formation of the visa regime removal agreement for Kosovo.
Following this decision, the European Parliament must approve the decision on liberalisation at the plenary session and then the final decision is made at this year's Council of Ministers' final meeting with the composition of interior ministers of EU member states, held on December 6th and 7th.
