Parris Tillery, 24, imprisoned in March of last year under suspicion of a murder that took place in September 2016, where 28-year-old Rysheen Ervin in Brownsville lost his life, attacked the Guardian without warning.
Security cameras inside the prison have filmed the moment when the unnamed guard opens the door of a cell and is brutally attacked by Tillery.
But even though the jailer tried to calm the situation by giving the prisoners a glimpse, Tiller responded even more harshly by breaking his nose and jaw to the jailer who remained unconscious.
Similar attacks on guards in this prison have been reported recently.
