The media report that sources from the US Embassy in Turkey have said the pastor, currently held under house arrest, will be free on August 15th.
Although the American Embassy itself denied giving this news, it is believed that Erdogan himself is interested in granting freedom to the pastor, to send a sign to the US, that they are ready for co-operation.
Andrew. Brunson is an American pastor who has served for about two decades in Turkey and was arrested on charges of co-operating with the Pucist group that organised the coup in 2016.
For several months he was held in prison, while recently spent in house arrest, the movement that came following numerous American government demands for his release.
Finally, the conflict between the United States and Turkey spread even to the economic spectrum, where Turkish lira is facing a frightening decline as Trump parallelly raised the tariffs for steel and aluminum imported by Turkey.
