Strong quakes have been felt in several cities in the country, mainly in the country's northeastern area like Bulqiza, Burrel, but also in Lezha, Tirana and Durres.
While the slightest shocks are reported to have been felt in the city of Berat.
According to EMSC, the earthquake has been with a 5.1 magnitude with a 10km epicenter east of Burrel, 38km northeast of Tirana, located 10km deep.
The earthquake's strong forces have also felt in Montenegro, Kosovo, Macedonia, but according to EMSC, the European-Mediterranean Centre of Seismology, the quakes have also been felt in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
So far no material damage has been reported.
