The Constitutional Court in Gjakova on Friday has assigned the month-long detention measure to indictee Peter Ndekaj, after allegedly in the double murder, which had occurred Tuesday evening in the village of Brecoc in Gjakova.
The case judge Shacir Zika, during Friday's hearing, has held him at the Gjakova Regional Hospital “isa Grezda”, in the psychiatry department, where the state prosecutor, Agron Matjan, defendant's lawyer, Fehmije Zhubi, and psychiatrist Zef Comani was present.
The Komani psychiatrist, who is chief of the Psychiatry Department, has declared that the client has experienced acute stress and the same could attend the hearing session.
While defendant Fehmije Zhubi's defender, in terms of appointing the detention measure, said she considers it a harsh decision and that, according to her, the proposal for the appointment of this move, the prosecutor has not based it well.
The suspect has expressed regret over the case that had occurred and there is nothing else to add.
However, preliminary procedure judge Sacir Zika, after examining the subject paper, has heard the parties' claims have come to the conclusion that the prosecutor's request for the detention assignment is based.
Otherwise, on Thursday he had failed to conclude hearings against suspects Ndociaj, after the latter had allayed at the moment when prosecutor Matyan was reading the indictment and the defendant had realized that besides the former wife had killed his nine-year-old daughter.
Following his deteriorating health, Judge Zika had interrupted the session and the suspect had been sent to the medical treatment, first to the Gjakova regional hospital and later to the psychiatric centre in Pristina.
