Hoxha has political backgrounds as part of the Democratic Party of Kosovo. He was an advisor. The PDK's in the Suhareka Municipal Assembly.
He had also attended this party's gatherings during his early elections in 2013, even running for a member of the PDK Steering Council, in the municipality of Suhareka, even though he held the position of the head of the Public Procureing Regulatory Commission.
Hoxha was voted in by the Parliament's deputies as Constitutional Court Judge in the second round during July.
The Organisation for Democracy, Anti-Corruption and Dignience “Arise”, through an open letter, was addressed to President Hashim Thaci, urging him not to decree Hoxha. But he today, in a reception made to new constitutional judges, even formally decreed it.
Thaci also decreed the judge from the Serbian community, Radomir Leban, even though he is being sought by INTERPOL. The Serbian state seeks him because he is sentenced to 6 years in prison for criminal acts linked to organised crime and smuggling.
