Minister of Education, Science and Technology Shyqiri Bytyqi has visited several learning centres in Gjakova today, along with German Ambassador Christian Heldt.

Along with the German ambassador to Kosovo, Mr. Christian Heldt, chairman of the Gjakova municipality, Mr. Ginni, representatives of the German GIZ and other MAST officials, visited two teaching centers in the Gjakova municipality today, the Community (outdoor) Centre implemented by Bethany Christian Services and the Center for Education at Zef Lush Marka elementary school in Gjakova.
MAST and partners who support education in Kosovo are doing a great job in engaging young people and creating the best conditions for a quality and equal education for every youth.
Besides the GIZ, we have other partners who are constantly engaged in the community's young to engage in their compulsory education, but also in supplementary education. Our partners have become part of us and are helping us in every way and normally when it comes to communities never lacked support.
Our young people, especially those in the Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian communities, need extra incentive and social care, and in this respect the Teaching Centers have a special weight.
Dozens of Community Centres that have been funded by the European Union have already been established, and MAST will continue to strongly support them, and I ask that municipalities do so that there will be a co-ordination of jobs in terms of supporting our young people.
The Ministry of Education in co-operation with its partners has achieved that a large number of young communities' communities also provide scholarships in higher education, and that support should be continued in the years to come.
During the present day, we also visited the Teaching Center within the school of Zef Lush Mark, where a roundtable was also held, featuring the instruction of this school, parents, and representatives of communities.
This table discussed the challenges this Center faces, the development of the education process and the importance of supporting community children from this centre in terms of learning and awareness of the need for schooling, as well as the impact on preventing dropout.
Everyone's commitment is more than necessary for better education. We have to engage to create desirable environments for students, so that they can go to school voluntarily and get the proper knowledge and skills for life.
After visiting the Two Teaching Centers with Ambassador Heldt, we also held a press conference where we talked about what we saw, in particular about the challenges that those Centres face in developing the education process, and in this case I thanked the German government and GIZ for supporting the education system through various projects.
