Kosovo policeman beats wife, arrested, suspended

According to the police, the same man beat his wife, causing her bodily injury.

The victim has been taken to the shelter while the suspect has been arrested. The Police Inspectorate, who has been notified by police that a policeman has been involved in domestic violence.

The IPK investigators, respectively, have immediately appeared at the scene of the event, contacting the victim of the case. After verifying this information by IPK investigators of the same have taken some investigative actions in co-ordination with the competent prosecutor, and the victim of this case has been sent for medical treatment”, the IPK communiqué says.

As a result of these investigative actions in co-ordination even with the prosecutor of the case, yesterday, on suspicion that the police official involved in this case has committed a 48x0-> slight bodily prosecution”, the same with the competent Prosecutor's decision, has been assigned the detention measure for 48 hours. The IPK has recommended the Kosovo Police's motion of suspension for the already arrested police official as suspected of the case as being higher.
