About 150 children have completed lessons on the KEDDS Kids Academy course. This project has been developed by the Kosovar Company for Distributation and Electricity Supply, KEDS.
Under the project, children between 7 and 10 years of age were trained by Pristina's KED workers.
Legals have been divided into several groups and developed during the months of July and August, at a time when children are on summer vacation.
Children have learned how to program, design traps, and assemble electronic devices.
They also learned how Arduino works, which is a platform used to build electronic and robotic projects.
ECDS Communications Director Najije Arifaj has said children who have participated in this programme have shown considerable interest in taking in new knowledge in this area.
The children used the summer break to take basic lessons in the field of electronics and robotics, and it seems they loved this program very much,” Arifaj said.
“KED is proud to have the opportunity to work with these talented children”, she added.
Children have also visited KED's labs, and they learned a lot about how electrical detectors work.
Later, this training aims to expand for children of other district workers, with the aim of becoming a free programme for all Kosovo children.
Community support in the education field remains the permanent commitment of KEDS, starting since the company had started operations, through KDS Academy's programme.
