According to diplomatic sources, the Turkish news agency reports, two leaders have exchanged thoughts about bilateral relations and regional issues leading Syria in telephone conversation.
In the conversation, in which current developments have been discussed, the meeting, which will take place in Berlin in late September between President Erdogan and Chancellor Merkel, has also been mentioned.
Erdogan and Merkel have agreed to a meeting between Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak and German Finance and Economy Minister in the coming days.
Likewise, Merkel has stressed that it is important for Germany to have Turkey's economy strong.
Leaders have confirmed the commitment to further strengthening of mutual co-operation between Turkey and Germany through visits and high-level contacts.
