European Union Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn has talked about the integration of Western Balkan countries into the EU.
According to him, all countries working to enter the EU are a huge asset, however, say it needs to be worked on.
“Clearly, these countries have European prospects, they are a great asset. But for this thing in the first place is the quality of preparedness to enter the EU, and not how fast they enter the EU”, Hahn said, wrote Express, received by RICBovski.
He has recalled that much work must be done in rule of law and also in economic development.
“We will get the consent of our citizens for enlargement, only if they think a new member will enrich the EU and not charge it with problems”, Hahn said.
