Even the workers of the complex, numbering over 800, hope that the new owner will revive this company by restoring production at full capacity and paying off the financial debts the company has mainly to private contractors, says union chairman Fehmi Nica.
“We believe that production capacity will increase more than it was”, Nika says.
The new company is planning to carry out additional investments in Ferronikel, so that the potential of the mining sector in Albania and Kosovo can be put to full use and increase the ninikel production from 7,200 tonnes annually to over 10,000 tonnes per year.
